Your responses indicate that you have a child with:
Mild Sensitivity
You generally have a calm, go-with-the-flow child. Of course, like all kids, your child sometimes gets upset, but those feelings don’t tend to come on 0 to 60 or last for hours.
It’s important to remember that sensitivity exists on a spectrum, with some kids being less “permeable” to inputs from their environment & experiencing less intense emotions and others being more “permeable” & experiencing more intense emotions – and based on your responses, your child falls at the lower end of this spectrum.
That being said, you might still struggle at times to know what your child needs or how to help them manage their feelings, and that makes sense … parenting is the hardest job ever! While I specialize in supporting parents of highly sensitive kids, everything I share is applicable & helpful to all kids – it’s just especially helpful for highly sensitive kids.
